| Institute of Advanced Medicine Review Summary ------------------------------------------------------ The Institute of Advanced Medicine is a treatment facility addressing the problems of erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. This treatment resource claims that it can “dramatically improve your sex life.” This program also assures consumers, “You will definitely see the results quickly.” At the heart of both the erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation programs seems to be medication that is said to include “a combination of FDA-approved ingredients.” Although this program’s approach may be perfectly valid, we become automatically skeptical when “mystery medicines” are involved. At the time of review, a rather exhaustive search of this program’s Website turned up few clues as to what these medications are. Since they seem to be the cornerstone of the program, we believe consumers have a right to know what they are. We also were disappointed that this program seems to focus more on two isolated mechanical functions -- erection and ejaculation -- than on the pleasure and fulfillment of the whole experience. We will assess this program for its ability to enrich and enliven all aspects of sex. Concept ------------------------------------------------------ The program seems to be divided into erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation approaches. In both of these cases, the therapy seems to involve “custom” treatments. According to the Website, “These aren't one-size-fits-all solutions. With your individual requirements in mind, doctors prescribe just the right E.D. treatment that contains a combination of FDA approved ingredients.” For the premature ejaculation program, the Institute takes great pains to describe what the medication is not: “Our treatment isn't a de-sensitizing cream, exotic herbal concoction, rubber-band treatment, or a stop-start technique, none of which really work.” We find it interesting that the Website does not go on to disclose what this product actually is. Website ------------------------------------------------------ This program’s Website looks professional and well-organized, with a fair amount of information about the approaches it offers. The site features informational articles about both E.D. and premature ejaculation, and also features short, educational videos. There is also basic information about the Institute, as well as information about its national “Doctor Network.” We were pleased to see that this Website does contain testimonials, since we believe that this is often the best way to consumers to get “the scoop” from fellow customers. We only wish these testimonials would specify the medications used in this program. Lifestyle ------------------------------------------------------ We were rather disappointed to see the rather “single-minded” approach taken by this program. To judge from this program’s apparent priorities, sex would seem to be nothing more than a series of mechanical functions. We feel that for most couples, sexual enhancement involves so much more than erections and ejaculations. It involves mutual arousal, enhanced sensitivity, stamina, and intense, gratifying orgasms. We do hope that those who take this approach will remember that there is more to great sex than technical body functions. Finally, we are concerned that there does not seem to be general pricing information on this program’s Website. This leads us to believe that perhaps this program is quite expensive. Positives ------------------------------------------------------ • Claims to work quickly • Website includes some testimonials • Is said to feature “customized” plans Negatives ------------------------------------------------------ • The medicine dispensed is not named or described on the Website • Focus of the program seems to be mainly on mechanical function • Does not address the other aspects of achieving great sex • Price does not appear to be listed at time of review Final Thoughts ------------------------------------------------------ In the end, we maintain our skepticism of any program that is not willing to divulge its ingredients. We also find it ultimately disappointing that this program does not address the many complex facets of the sexual experience. Currently, there are many excellent herbal supplements that are affordable and available without a prescription. The better supplement manufacturers will proudly divulge superior ingredients, such as Epimedium, Yohimbe, Panax Ginseng, and Tribulus Terrestris. These ingredients are said to heighten all aspects of lovemaking. Original Article Reference: | |
